What is Pilates?
Pilates is a physical training programme based on the body's natural movements. The very structure of the Pilates method requires mental focus, a process that forces your muscles to respond more quickly to training. By integrating body and mind you will achieve an effective, balanced and efficient workout. The deliberate and focused movements also promote an enhanced sense of body awareness that continues after the sessions, giving an enhanced sense of well-being and self-care.
What do I wear?
Pilates is usually preformed in bare feet however socks with rubber soles are fine if needed.
Loose clothing that does not restrict your movement.
Warmer clothes in winter season.
What else should I bring?
A towel, a water bottle and a sense of fun!
What is provided?
All mats and small apparatus where needed.
Classes will provide a challenge whatever level you are at.
Special Requirements?
Please talk to Mimi about any injuries and rehab work you may need. We do suggest having one to one sessions
before coming to any classes to ensure correct technique.
